At Genpop, I worked on an unannounced competitive team shooter as both a designer and a writer. The team was small and remote, with employees from around the world and flexible working hours. The work-from-home model required strong self-tasking, self-motivation, and communication on my part. I collaborated closely with many fantastic creators, developing lore, documenting design, playtesting daily and implementing game improvements in Unreal Engine and Blueprints.

I left Genpop due to unavoidable layoffs and company downsizing.

In May of 2020, I took a job as an Associate Designer with the company AuthorDigital, later renamed Arcadia Games. It has given me the incredible privilege to grow my skills alongside veterans of the industry, and a breadth of different experiences. I worked on multiple demos and prototypes for unannounced games, all of which are still under NDA and cannot be discussed in detail.

Due to the size of the team, I was assigned a wide variety of tasks. I worked with the narrative, design, and business development teams, as well as implementing directly in Unity and C#.
​
I parted ways with Arcadia Games in 2022 after the company went on extended furlough and eventually shuttered.

HERO AND NARRATIVE INTERN | EPIC GAMES

I spent a fantastic summer in 2019 interning for Epic Games as both a Hero Design and Narrative Intern for the game Fortnite: Save the World.
​
I was initially brought on to implement a new playable hero as the Hero Design Intern. Partway through, I was given the opportunity to shift over to the narrative team, where I assisted with lore documentation and development. I wrote hundreds of pages of documentation, scouring wikis, reddit posts, and YouTube videos. My extensive documents included everything from character details and season narratives to fan theories, both current and outdated.

My primary contributions that shipped to the game were the characters Breakbeat Wildcat and Willow, as well as the launcher weapon Deciblaster.
